A video profile of Ram Thapa, founder of Zener Technologies, Nepal.  This video has a musical sound track but no narration, so subtitles are not showing.

Video transcript:

When Nepal was hit by an intense earthquake in 2015 Ram Thapa, of Zener technologies, learned how to respond in times of crisis. When COVID-19 arrived in Nepal, he realised that important travel restrictions would limit the response to the pandemic. So he called upon his decentralised network of local manufacturers to work together to make PPE that is desperately needed by health and medical workers.  With COVID Action Project Support, Zener Technologies plans to set up a quality control infrastructure for PPE production. Ram Thapa says, "I have witnessed this pandemic as an innovation and market opportunity for small local enterprises breaking the mould of established supply chains. We have a long way to go but we are determined to work together".
